Act For The Many
"I decided to do a piece on minority women to bring awareness to the struggles of experiencing life in a society that is oppressive and derogative. While feminism is incorporated into the piece, the prominent part is the presence of racially diverse women, used to emphasize and promote activists’ desire to normalize race in the media. I want to encourage racially diverse women to express themselves how they please, and influence society to 'act for the many,' rather than the few."

"Empowerment of young black women such as myself is a prime goal of this piece. They should know that they’re also recognized and appreciated and that they are some of the most beautiful creatures to ever live."

Let's Work Together
"Let's Work Together"
My artwork focuses on feminism and how it requires cooperation rather than domination to achieve equality. What motivated me to do this artwork is seeing how feminism is portrayed in social media and I wanted to bring attention to it. The meaning of this piece is to show that feminism is about the equality of BOTH sexes and that cooperation is necessary to achieve its goals.

Love Yourself
"I chose to do a face, but as you can see the face is not perfect. One side of the face is kind of crooked, while the other side is neater in order to emphasize the idea that everyone is beautiful in their own ways. I created this in order to spread positivity and encourage others who may struggle with self esteem, which is why I also sewed the heart and the letter u (means love yourself)"
Image Description: A face is embroidered on the cloth with the bottom showing a heart followed by the letter "u".

Human Rights
"This artwork is used to represent the idea of women’s rights being human rights. This phrase comes from famous abolitionists and feminists, such as Sarah Moore Grimké, Angelina Weld, and Hillary Clinton. The usage of human rights makes it more inclusive to everyone fighting for equality and is an empowerment to the women’s rights movement. My artwork displays the message of human rights and depiction of the female reproductive system to represent women and their rights."
