"I truly inspired by one of my greatest passions, gardening; I’ve been gardening ever since I was in sixth grade and I enjoy it so much. And in gardening I have to spend quite a lot of time with bees, and as many know bees are in danger of becoming extinct. Bees are becoming extinct due to pesticides used by big industrial farms in America. By creating this simple piece I just wanted to help again redirect attention to the fact that bees are going extinct and we should try our best to advocate change with the use of pesticides."

780 Million Don't Have Access To Clean Water
"780 Million People Don't Have Access To Clean Water"
"I have always been interested in the topic of the lack of water within third world countries. This leads to many water-related diseases, that can eventually lead to death. Additionally, the lack of clean water onset to unsanitary and unsuccessful medical practices. In the 7th grade, I did a science project on finding a more efficient manner in desalinating ocean water. Therefore, there is always a way of providing more suitable conditions for third-world countries. In my art piece, I wanted to convey that many people cannot access clean water and we must address this basic necessity as soon as possible."

"It depicts part of the comfort women statue in San Fransisco. Recently, the statue caused Osaka to sever sister city ties with San Fransisco. Comfort women were women forced into sexual slavery by Imperial Japan, mainly in China, Korea, and the Philippines. Japan is currently denying that these women existed, while Korea has started multiple funds to help support the surviving women. The embroidery is to raise awareness that these women exist and need to be recognized as a casualty of World War II."

Is It Worth It?
"Is It Worth It?"
"The international pollution crisis inspired me, as there is so much waste that is not properly recycled and ruining our environment, along with the plants and animals in it. The plastic bottle is a symbol of how even one small piece of trash being carelessly littered can deter our environment, and we must ask ourselves if this laziness is worth it."
